Luke 16 small group material

During the winter season, the Youth Department organizes a Young Adult winter retreat in Silverthorn, CO located 20 minutes from Copper Mountain.

During the weekend, the young adults connected through fun activities, relaxing down time, delicious meals, and meaningful worships.

Based on the 2019 theme, Home, the Youth Department created small group material for our young adults to go through during their worship time.

Engage: Faith that matters

Faith that matters begins and ends with Jesus—and is focused on Him everywhere in between.

But engaging with Jesus will always send us back to our time and place, to our communities and our world, just as He was sent.

This collection of essays wrestles with aspects of this faithful process, particularly as it calls us to engage with issues that hurt those who are most marginalized and vulnerable in our world.

Read, share, enjoy, disagree, think, do, engage…

Conviction

Conviction is refined in the fires of effort, failure, faith and hope. While conviction is a matter of the heart, it is also displayed on your sleeve. Some themes that you will encounter in this book are rich insights into human nature and the rules of the heart. You will meet biblical people stirred by conviction. You will discover what the relationship is between the Holy Spirit, the conscience, and the person you are called to be—and how you can be resolute, sure, and confident in your faith. As you stir, think, and practice a life of conviction, your faith will deepen and your heart will grow in Christ.
